چکیده
The latent psychological mechanisms involved in decision-making are often studied with quantitative models based on evidence accumulation processes. most prolific example is arguably the drift-diffusion model (DDM). This framework has frequently shown good to very fits, which prompted its wide endorsement. However, fit quality alone does not establish validity of a model's interpretation. Here, we formally assess novel cross-validation approach recording muscular activities, directly relate standard interpretation various parameters. Specifically, recorded electromyographic activity along response times (RTs), and used it decompose every RT into 2 components: premotor time (PMT) motor (MT). latter interval, MT, can be linked processes hence nondecision parameter DDM. In two canonical perceptual decision tasks, manipulated stimulus strength, speed-accuracy trade-off, force quantified their effects PMT, RT. All 3 factors consistently affected MT. DDM for recovered MT situations, exception fastest responses. extent fits scope mis-estimations that observed allow drawing new limits interpretability (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved).

Demand Response Based Model for Optimal Decision Making for Distribution Networks
In this paper, a heuristic mathematical model for optimal decision-making of a Distribution Company (DisCo) is proposed that employs demand response (DR) programs in order to participate in a day-ahead market, taking into account elastic and inelastic load models. The proposed model is an extended responsive load modeling that is based on price elasticity and customers’ incentives in which they...
متن کاملAssessing Patient Participation in Health Policy Decision-Making in Cyprus
Although the importance of patient participation in the design and evaluation of health programs and services is well-documented, there is scarcity of research with regard to patient association (PA) participation in health policy decision-making processes. To this end, the present study aimed to validate further a previously developed instrument as well as to investigate the degree of PA parti...

Bounded interpersonal inferences and decision making
Individual decision making is based on predictions about other players’ choices as well as on valuations of reactions to predictions. In this sense, a player has a prediction-decision criterion for decision making. We develop a theory of prediction-decision criteria, which enables us to capture new phenomena on individual decision making in games. The decision making situation is described in t...
متن کاملDecision Making: Neural Correlates of Response Time
Recent studies have measured the time taken by neural processes to decide between alternative stimuli. Overt responses are produced only as soon as neural processes are completed. The brain throttles the mind.
